Think all fake tan is full of nasty chemicals and smells like a biscuit barrel? Think again.
I discovered Tan Organic on the British Airways duty-free trolley on my way to Crete earlier this summer, and it has since saved me from pasty pins in Greece and beyond.
Previously I had fallen out of love with self tan due to toxic-sounding ingredients, messy fades and a husband who can't stand the smell (does ANY man not hate the smell of fake tan?!).
But this oil does what is says on the tin/bottle: it is super moisturising, it delivers a subtle golden colour, and best of all it is 100% natural.
"This sensational, multi-award winning oil combines all the benefits of a moisturising oil with a radiant tan. Made entirely from natural and organic ingredients, it leaves your skin velvety soft, hydrated and with a holiday-like glow.
"The quick-drying formula is easy to apply, has no nasty fake tan smell and won't transfer onto your clothes or sheets."
Easy to apply? Yes. Not much product needed at all. I had a few patch issues on my feet the first time but that was my fault for being a lazy beauty journo, so remember to exfoliate.
Natural effect? Yes. Applied the first evening of a sunny bank holiday break the colour combined brilliantly with a bit of sunshine to deliver a gorgeous light glow.
Perfect fade? Yes. So long as you remember to moisturise.
No smell? Not totally true unfortunately. There is definitely a faint fake tan smell (according to the husband) but it disappears pretty quickly.
Tan Organic Self-Tanning Oil £20 Duty-Free on British Airways flights
nb is 100ml so officially ok for carry-on luggage but the long glass bottle is tricky to squeeze into the security bags if you're already tight on space
